Cloud Shadows

Last night I attended a Hugh Dubberly lecture. This was a great experience for me as I am always interested in what technology will be like in the future. Hugh Dubberly received his BS at NYU and his MS at Yale. I always enjoy learning about people and their different views and perspectives on life and technology and products that help people.

After the lecture I went to Greek Inn Restaurant in Sacramento, amazing Gyros and expect bad breath with the combination of onion and garlic. A must try!

The next day a trip over to whole foods to pick up some toothpaste and deodorant, their natural selections are great. The deodorant idea is a new find as I just discovered there is aluminum in deodorant, no thanks! I heard this news from Howard Stern. Further research supported my idea that I wanted to try deodorant without aluminum. Also at whole foods is a delicious bakery section, I tried the almond croissant which has almond paste inside, a perfect match with your morning coffee.

This afternoon I went for a great bike ride. The fresh cool spring air mixing with the warm air heated from the sun. Tall green grass and of course many bugs buzzing around and some grazing my face. Seeing new growth and leaves coming in strong on the oak trees. Take your bike out or grab your shoes and go for a nice ride. Get your heart going. Tons of bike trails to go down and explore. This evening we stopped at an empty playground to take a break and I thought it would be fun to go down the slide, guess what, it was! Yes I’m almost 30 but who says I can’t or shouldn’t go down the slide. I felt a burst of joy afterward and would recommend it to you. Go ahead and go down the slide at a nearby park, it is fun and everyone needs comic relief.

For dinner we made mexican pizzas, a twist on the fast food Taco Bell version, much healthier and prepared with pride. Feel free to use all organic products as well. Two whole wheat flour tortillas, pan cooked chicken with no seasoning, taco bell hot sauce found at any grocery store, refried beans, mixed cheese, tomato and if you would like chives on top. The next morning a trip to downtown Sacramento on our way out of town to meet up with friends at Bethany Reservoir in Tracy.  I have been wanting to go to Old Soul Coffee and Bakery for some time now and finally went.  Everything was amazing, I had a cappuccino and a butter croissant. Lots of flavor and helped perk me up early in the morning. I really needed that pick me up.

Upon arriving at Bethany Reservoir the clouds were low and there was a little sun. As the day went on the sun opened up the sky and shone on the green grassy hills around. Was nice getting some vitamin d on the skin and talking with friends. The windmills looked neat in the distance, wildflowers were blooming and the lake looked nice in the background. One of the most important things to do is to take a break in what your doing and get out and get together with some friends, no excuses!

A flying kite, a beautiful object in the sky, relaxing and neat to watch.

Another thing I have learned that has been valuable to me lately is to write everything down, emotions, feelings, things people said. They help get them out of your mind and on paper. You won’t mull over it until you choose to and realize when you come across that note later on what you were thinking and if maybe you were jumping to conclusions.
